Traffic assistant

Ask about the roads

Ask about Australian highways, freeways and motorways and get an answer from the live data we aggregate. It only says what the road authorities say, names where each fact comes from, and tells you when a state or territory is not connected yet. It is not navigation: it tells you what is on the road, not how to get there.

Ask about Australian roads. I answer from live data only.

Ask in any language

Answers are generated from the public sources we aggregate and may contain errors or delays. Not navigation or advice. In an emergency, call Triple Zero (000).

How it works

1

Ask the way you talk

“Any crashes on the Hume Highway?”, “Is the Bruce Highway flooded?”, “What's closed on the M1 Pacific Motorway?”

2

We check the live sources

The question goes to the same state and territory road authority data that feeds the live map: Live Traffic NSW, Main Roads WA, Traffic SA and more.

3

An answer with source and time

It answers only from that data, names the authority behind each fact, says when a state is not connected yet, and says “I don't know” when there is nothing to go on.

The sources

The assistant answers from these public sources, the same ones behind the live map, aggregated by Roadscore. Coverage grows state by state: Queensland, Victoria and the ACT are being connected, Tasmania publishes planned roadworks only and the Northern Territory has no crash feed, and the assistant says so.
